The song Glanfaidh Mé was, for so long central to our set. And then as happens to pieces of music, it decided to take a rest!!!! It has been maybe four years since we played it live and this was one of those last times, on RTÉ's Late Late Show, in Autumn 2008. This is the made-to-fit-tv cut down version.
Bhí an t-amhrán Glanfaidh Mé chomh lárnach dár gceolchoirmeacha beo gurbh ait an ní é teacht ar seo ar líne. Ceann des na hamanntaí deireannacha a sheinneamar é beo. Ar nós gach píosa ceoil bíonn sos de dhíth air!!! Agus is seo an leagan ciorraithe do teilfís, do Phat Kenny and an Late Late Show.
And music has an amazing way of making its way around the world and back home again. The second half of Glanfaidh Mé was used recently as the background to a montage of a dance show called 'A Mid-winter's Night's Dream'. The dance piece was created by the endlessly creative and innovative New York Irish dance school Solas an Lae.
Agus mar léiriú ar conas mar a dheineann píosaí ceoil taisteal nuair atá siad ar shos ón mbanna, seo giotaí as seó a chur Solas an Lae (scoil damhsa gaelach ó Nua Eabhrac), le chéile le déanaí - 'A Mid-winter's Night's Dream' leis an dara leath de Glanfaidh Mé sa chúlra. Beidh orainn breis ceoil a scaoileadh chun saoil más seo an obair a bhíonn ar bun acu!!
